A dingy alleyway
Although Brighton is a place of bright sunshine and open skies and colour, some of the nicest parts from my point of view are the dingy side streets. There is nowhere quite as dingy as Orange Row. It’s full of black bin liners and stray cats and general rubbish. It’s a dark alleyway, the last little bit of the Pimlico slum that was demolished in the 1870s.
