102 Trafalgar Street

by Gavin Tester 18 April 2007

My g-g-g-grandfather, George Tester, lived at the above address (now a chinese restaurant called Golden something) at the times of the 1841 and 1851 census returns. His occupation was Licenced Hawker, but I have no idea what he hawked (sold). Does anyone have access to an old Kelly’s Directory that might give more information?
I have managed to find an old photograph taken from the bottom of the street, but it might be as late as 1900.
