I am interested in the Aldrington area and in particular Westbourne Street, where we live. I believe the street was built around 1889, but who was it built by. How about the other streets around here? I understand Portland Road when originally built was called something different? I assume it was all built at the same time.
The first mention of the street is on the Census for 1891, with only Westbourne Gardens and Mews mentioned in the 1881 census.
Any help would be apreciated.
