Hospitalized with TB at the age of 4 I was taught to read by the children in the wards. I particularly remember a boy by the name of Wyndham -Ronnie-I think. He patiently taught me, so well in fact that when I started school at the age of 7, although I couldn’t do much else, I could read better than a lot of the older children in the top classes. I have always wanted to thank him. Does anyone know who he is? I think his family lived in North Moulsecoomb. Love to hear from him.
