Brierly or Brierley Hotel by Louise Kelly louise.s.j.kelly@gmail.com 11 February 2008Does anyone know anything about this hotel set up by an irish immmigrant after the war?2 replies Re: Brierly or Brierley Hotel by Andy Grant 11 February 2008Hi Louise, Some time after the war James Carroll moved into 24, Windlesham Gardens. However, it was not until the mid-1950’s that he opened the Brierly Guest House at this address. The premises were later extended when number 22 was acquired and was thereafter renamed the Brierly Private Hotel. This certaily lasted well into the 1970’s, but after this time I am unable to say what happened.
