Back in the 1960s, my father purchased a black Standard 10 saloon from Brigden’s Car Sales. I remember the business being approximately where the present exit road from Waitrose car park meets Hampton Place. Can anyone tell me if Brigden’s showrooms also occupied what later became Tallula’s Tea Room at No 9 Hampton Place, and is now Gino’s Cafe? Regards, Alan Hobden.
