Brighton Boozers

by MikeS 1 November 2004

I am currently researching local pubs (well – somebody has got to do it!) for a forthcoming Brighton Boozers exhibition. We have a number of old photos and the intention is to take some new photos to show what they now look like and if applicable, what they are now called. I have drawn a blank on some of them so any help you could offer with the following names would be most appreciated:

Admiral Napier, Blue Posts Tavern, Brewery Shades, Chatfields, Christies – Bosun, Christies –Carpenter, City of Hereford, Coach & Horses, Feathers, Foresters, Good Intent, Hervey Arms, Hole in the Wall, Horseshoe, I Go Inn, Kensington, Little Globe, Liverpool Arms, Mazeppa Inn, Olive Branch, Same Old House, Sea House, Spotted Dog, Stable, Unicorn,

If you recognise one (or more!) of the above as your former/current local, I need to know where they were (and hopefully still are) to be found and if they do still exist, what they are now called if the name has been changed.

Thanks for your help…

Mike

PS: If anybody has any old photos of Brighton pubs to add to the list, please scan and email them to mike@channelsites.co.uk and I’ll add them to the collection.
