I am looking for information about william T Cleave and his family who ran the Clapshaw & Cleave shop on Queen’s Road Brighton from the late 19th century.(I am related to his brother who had a similar shop in Bradford). I was informed they had sold the shop in 1950 but have since read it was still trading in the 1970’s. Does anyone know who ran the shop after 1950? Does anyone have information about the family please?
