Does anyone remember a strange little coffee house on the outskirts of the Lanes,that was above a little courtyard and you had to climb what was possibly a fire escape to get to it.It was rather dark,had candles in wine bottles on rather home made looking tables that were comprised I think of boards nailed to proper table bottoms.It had a juke box with some very good records on Hendrix etc and a rather boho ,art student type atmosphere.It seemed to go onto the early hours of the morning,withpeople drinking coffee very slowly,eating the odd bit of toast and playing chess or just hanging out.I only went there a few times but it left a lingering memory that persists to this day.Does anyone recall this place or can even name it?I dont think that it was the sort of place to have lasted long.
