Following on from the Milwards article, is anyone else on here an ex employee of Curtess Shoes? I worked mainly at London Road (38?)under Mr Holloway in the early 70s as did my Mum Eileen (I think it is an amusement arcade now). We had a warren of storage areas at the back and could not use the rooms upstairs. I also worked briefly at St James’ Street with its weird underground store room.
Cheap shoes but really good value for money.
Does Curtess still exist as a Company?
