There are two places i remember as mending dolls.Known as the dolls hospital.This might be just a phrase used by our parents.One was just down from Oxford Street.Possibly Oxford Place.It faced onto Ditchling road.The other was up Trafalgar Street on the right towards the station.Anyway this is where you took your beloved dolly for treatment when it had had an accident!Heartbreaking.Anyone else remember this trauma?
