Still seeking information about Elizabeth Sarah Humphries, OR, Humphreys, who was known to be in Brighton during the 1850s. Don’t know her age and can’t find any suitable marriage or death for her in BMDs, (assuming she was unmarried,) and cannot find her in censuses some parts of which for Brighton are lost. See my previous postings here, last one a year ago, and messages about her have revealed no new leads. Address given in 1857 was only a lodging house in Oriental Place so no other connection with that address. Connection to John Laing of Montpelier Road, previously of Montague Square London, born Kingston Jamaica 1798 died Brighton 1869, and / or his brother Reverend David Laing of London, born London 1800 died London 1860.
