Whilst living Upper North Street as a child in the 1950s I recall that I could walk along the road in the general direction of St Nicholas Church and a road on my right that led down to Western Road had a little turning or dust track to its left that went down to an old cottage{or possibly two cottages} that looked very poor but were still inhabited at the time.I think that they might have continued to be there until the 60s.I think that at the time my grandmother called them “The Fishermans Cottages”.Does anyone know anything about this?
