Does anyone recall a house on the SW corner of Old Shoreham Rd and Boundary Rd, now replaced by flats I believe, which we as kids in the early post war years, thought to be haunted? It was a large red-brick structure which stood empty for years at a time when accomodation was almost impossible to obtain. My brother and some of his brave friends claimed to have been in it, and said it looked as if the occupants had just got up and left it furnished, but I’m not sure of the truth of that! I know we younger ones wouldn’t go anywhere near it.
