Kemp Town 1940

by John 28 August 2009

I initially put this in the wrong forum, for which I apologise. While researching my wife’s ancestry we discovered that her great grandad, Leonard Jones, was killed in the Kemp Town Odeon bombings in September 1940. He was a chauffeur who lived at flat 4, 24 Sussex Square which would suggest he was given a part of the huge house of his employer’s in which to live. Does anyone know to whom he could have been chauffeur? It would be nice to give the poor fellow some of his life back; he was only 59 when he, and so many so much younger, tragically died. Thanks to anyone that can help.
