Lady Chichester Hospital, Hove by Donella Trickey 27 November 2015Does anyone know where records would now be held for someone who would have been a patient at the Lady Chichester Hospital circ. 60s-70s?2 replies Re: Lady Chichester Hospital, Hove by Andy Grant 27 November 2015Hi Donella, Even if you could trace the whereabouts of the records, I very much doubt whether you would be able to see them. For many records of a personal nature, the 100 year rule generally applies, meaning they would not be a general release of them until 2060. Regards, Andy Re: Lady Chichester Hospital, Hove by Neal Ward 27 November 2015Andy is correct re the 100 year rule as far as the general public is concerned, but you may be able to see the patients records if you have close family connections. I had an uncle who spent many years in an institution and died there in 1946. I was able to establish when he was admitted, his date of death, and where he was buried (there was a church in the grounds). I was told I could also see the records if I made a formal application, though in my case I declined. Add your replyHiddenAdd your title Add your wordsWould you like to add some images (optional)?
