My Paternal Gt Gt Grandfather, Thomas Henry Wayland, is shown in the 1911 Census as being a co-proprietor of a Laundry at 2, Clarendon Rd, Hove. The other proprietor was his sister, Elizabeth Sarah Wayland, and he seems to have separated from his wife who was living in Tooting. In any event, the following year Thomas Henry set off for Canada and a new life with one of the laundry workers! I have been unable to discover any more information about the Laundry. Can anyone assist with photographs or anything else that might be of interest?
