I believe this gift store was owned by somebody else in the 1880s and 1890s, but it was acquired by John Fricker Bigwood in about 1899 and he occupied it until about 1903. I would be interested in finding any advertisements or photos of the store and any details of the types of items were sold there. I have learned elsewhere that he designed a sold postcards there.
