Lost School

by Nip 24 September 2007

I am trying to remember the primary school next door to a church this small road was opposite the West Pier In the 1950’s It could have been St.Pauls but it was also close to a open green square. The upstairs was devided into 2 classrooms Morning prayers accompanied by the gramaphone. The girls playground was on this level the boys had to make do with an open cellar effort where we did our PE each week bean bags and hoops seemed to be an embedded memory. Music and movement via the radio downstairs in one of the infants rooms And open but guarded fires in the largest of room in the winter .The Headmaster seemed to live in a cupboard
