My late Aunt Pamela Wilcox (Bower) directed a short film called “The Brighton Story” in 1955. The script was by the poet Christopher Hassall & the cameraman was Walter Lassally. Although it ran at both Brighton & Edinburgh Festivals it was then lost for 13 years until discovered again in 1971.Despite extensive searching, it would seem that it has once more been lost. I have found some clippings with comments such as ” Seldom have I seen a film made with such love for it’s subject” Wouldn’t it be lovely to rediscover this old footage …I would be overjoyed if anyone has a copy tucked away somewhere or could point me in the right direction.
