Marjorie Hendry

by Mark Dickens 1 February 2013

I write in the hope that the resources afforded by your excellent website can help me discover more about my maternal grandmother. Her maiden name was Marjorie Laura Helen Hendry who was born in 1896 at 74 Queens Road, Brighton, where her father, Lewis Chapman Hendry, ran the long-since-demolished Terminus Hotel next to Brighton Railway Station. The Hendry family later lived at 34 Buckingham Road, Brighton, and 30 York Road, Hove. Marjorie was married in 1928 to William G Maynard, whose father had a fishmonger’s business on nearby Western Road, Hove. I would be so grateful if anyone could tell me more and live in hope that a photograph of Marjorie might exist.
Kind regards,
Mark Dickens
