As a child, I remember being down at the sea front with my father, I must have been around 1946/8 There were several huge spotlights trained at the sky. Does anyone else remember this. Between 1948/50 there was something huge washed up on the beach, was it a boat or a whale? I moved from Brighton in 1952, but still remember it with great fondness.
