Preston Barracks / Roy Spearey

by Phil Spearey 2 March 2008

I am researching my family tree, my Grand-Father was serving at Preston Barracks in 1924 he was in the R.A. he married my Grand-Mother who lived at 16 Finnemore Street, Brighton. My grand-father was decorated later in the 2nd WW. He was called Roy Spearey DOB 1901 [aged 23] and he married Elizabeth Agnes Pearce DOB 1903 [aged 21] they were married on 20th December 1924 on the marriage certificate it states he was a bomberdier, but in the wedding photo he is wearing his uniform but is a Cpl. I cant find Finnemore St, or Preston Barracks, I would appreciated any help or information, what ever it is. philip.spearey@btinternet.com
