On the western side of Prince’s Street, opposite the Parochial buildings, is Pavilion Street. On its northern corner, the Marlborough Hotel (number 4) whilst on its southern corner were private apartments (numbers 2 & 3). Opposite the registry office was Pavillion Street, the left side was a car park, possible formed from a bomb site. The right side – there was a pub on the corner, and then a couple of houses, ( I knew the Colis’s refered to in above posting.) There was a family called Cooper who owned the last building, I think it was a guest house. The Cooper kids were about my age Philip and Gail. To the right of the Registry Office was a bomb site, we used to play there!
