Regent Square Hotels- WW2

by Lorraine Lawrence 16 August 2015

In late 1943 my father was posted to Brighton for 6 months as part of his RAF pilot training. He had arrived in the UK from Poland in April and the posting in Brighton was for the purpose of learning flying theory, Morse code and the principles of aircraft navigation. He told me that he stayed (with a number of other trainee air crew) in a hotel in Regent Square. I’d be interested if anyone may know which hotel this could have been? Apparently meals were provided for them at the Metropole (but this isn’t where he stayed) and he collected his wages (2 guineas) each week from an office on West Pier.
