Re the Royal Tennis Courts and the Tompkins family, am researching into this family and in the census date sometimes listed as living at Little East St and sometime Little Preston St ~ are they close to each other or where they? Also The Bedford Hotel where Edmund Tompkins had a Tennis Court ~ one and the same as the Royal Courts? I know Tompkins family also were lessees of the famous Merton Court in Oxford prior to coming to Brighton. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
