Re: Scabes Castle by Carol Homewood 28 January 2021 7:43 AMScabe’s Castle was a farm situated just north of what is now Hartington Road, where Hartington Terrace and Hartington Place now stands. The Scabe’s Castle estate covered a large area of land now swallowed up by the cemeteries plus streets either side of Hartington Road. The Farm buildings were apparently demolished in 1903.
