I am reading “Sophia, Princess, Suffragette, Revolutionary” by Anita Anand pub. Bloomsbury Publishing 2015…there is a reference to her schooling as a child quoted in a letter from Arthur Oliphant “I am glad to say that she is doing well at Brighton”, he reported. “She will terminate her four years stay at Miss Parkinson’s school there next month…..”
Can anyone put a name and a place to a “Mrs Parkinson’s school” ? Presumably around 1885 or thereabouts ? Certainly for for Young Ladies.
Many thanks
