I am reposting some of my ancestors’ names in case anyone on the list is related to, or knew the families. There were several BRIGDEN families in Brighton in the 1800’s. Many of them were tailors and some branched into undertaking too. Zoe BRIGDEN was an ‘Aquatic Entertainer, on the West Pier and also had a hairdressing business. I am in touch with quite a few relatives but still have questions about my grandmother, Mable BRIGDEN and her parents; Lewis BRIGDEN and Amelia Sarah nee CROSS. The ancestral family lived in the Cuckfield area before some of them moved to Brighton.
