The Crossfields

by Steve Williams 18 March 2009

I’ve posted a couple of articles on my ancestors the Crossfields on this site, but I’m keen to hear from anyone who can shed any further light on the family in any way. They lived in Brighton from around 1813, and were spread all across the Queens Park Road/Elm Grove/Islingword Road triangle and beyond. At least two died in the Elm Grove Workhouse, and a handful were I think born there once it became Brighton Municipal Hospital. (I was born there myself when it had become Brighton General in the 60’s).
