This is a long shot…does anyone know anything about The Old Bookhouse at 44 Gloucester Street? Originally the Blue Arrow Book Co. (prop. D. Morgan) in 1927, it was then taken over (?) by A. Metcalfe-Morton, (possibly related to John M-M who ran a bookshop in Duke St in the twenties) when it became known as the Old Bookhouse until 1950 (?). Is it the converted warehouse-type place with the posh paint shop in now? Does anyone know more about the Metcalfe-Morton family (both names appear to have specialised in Masonic paraphernalia and books)?
