Further to my recent posting re Thomas Ward and Philly Mann, I would like to know what became of Thomas King and Sons, Solicitors, of 13 Richmond Place, Brighton. This firm posted a Statutory Notice in the local press in 1893 calling for those who believed they were beneficiaries of the marriage settlement of Thomas Ward and Philly Mann dated 1865 to contact them. If the records of the firm have survived, they could be very useful in unravelling the mysteries surrounding this couple.
Do Thomas King and Sons still exist, or were they absorbed into another firm of solicitors?
