I am looking to see if anyone has any information on the Vance family (Head – Horatio Vance) who lived on Arundel Terrace in 1901. My great great grandmother (Ethel Louisa Mary Watts) was their housemaid for a time when she was about 16 and her sister (Beatrice Watts) also worked there as a kitchen maid aged 14.
This information comes from the 1901 census and I also have a photograph titled ‘when working for lady and col. Vance’
I am doing my degree project on my great great grandmother so any information would be extremeyl helpful!
