Walter Chapman's. Family circa 1880 to date

by Kevin Joyce 30 November 2015

Hi All,

This is my first visit and post to your informative site. By chance i typed the words “Walter Chapman Fitters arms” into my search engine and you guys came up. Interestingly it appears two other individuals in the past have asked for information on the very same subject. (Alexander Chapman back in 2012 and Graham Robinson in 2014).

Walter senior is in fact my great uncle. I was wondering whether you two guys were still around and whether you managed to get the photos and information you were after. My primary research has been on the military service of the Brighton contingent ie Walter, and his brothers Thomas and Obed and their respective sons. In all, the victorian chapmans and their respective sons account for over 125 consecutive years of military service through the BOER War, WW1 and WW2. Like most people. My family knowledge goes cold post 1911 and I would love to hear from Alexander and Graham to see if they have anything else they can share or indeed any body from the family.

I am equally happy to try and answer any questions within the forum that interested parties may have about the military service of this fighting family from Brighton.

Kevin
