waterloo street by lionel jones 1 November 2006can anybody tell me where i can get some information on the history of the house that i live in4 replies Re: waterloo street by Geoffrey Mead 1 November 2006as well as ESRO and the Brighton library try the excellent Brighton History centre in Brighton Museum[closed mondays] Re: waterloo street by Andy Grant 1 November 2006Lionel, As Waterloo Street has been in existence for well over 150 years, you should be able to find adequate information from a trip to Brighton Library or East Sussex Records Office. Looking through the census returns 1841-1901, together with trade directories, will give a fairly comprehensive insight as to the previous occupants, as well as the development of the street.
