I have just finished reading an amazing book about the life of Admiral Francis Beaufort, he who refined and detailed the scale of wind velocity, by Nicholas Courtney. According to the book Beaufort ended his retirement in Brighton in a cottage in Mills Terrace where he died on the 16 December 1857. So far I have been unable to locate where the Terrace would have been assuming that it no longer exists. can anybody throw any light on where it would have been ?
