We will remember them

On November 11th 1918, at 4.20am, the last soldiers of WWI ‘went over the top’. At 5am the Armistice was signed in a railway carriage in a forest in France.

Then, at the 11th hour, of that 11th day, of the 11th month, the guns fell silent. The Great War was over.

But even on that morning, on the Western Front, there were 10,944 casualties and 2,738 deaths.
