“Brighton Palace Pier closed to the public on 22nd April 2020 for only the second time in 120 years. The last time was for WW11. The closure was in advance of the Prime Minister’s historic announcement that the country was in a state of emergency and was to go into lockdown from midnight on the 23rd.”
