“As part of the government’s 3 step plan garden centres were allowed to reopen from Wednesday 13th May as long as they had suitable measures in place to protect staff and customers.
I have to say our garden centre was impressively organised. The staff were cheerful, probably the result of knowing they still have their jobs and a future. The layout was well thought out and it felt safe for customers walking through the gardens. The tills had plastic shields around the assistants who were wearing PPE and they were not taking any cash payments.”
