Brighton and Hove Community Radio

A voice for the community, by the community

BHCR is an internet based radio station launched in October 2010, which is not for profit and non-commercial. The station is staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who have a passion for radio. BHCR are dedicated to producing radio programmes catering for a wide range of interests and for everyone’s pleasure.

Welcomes new volunteers

The station welcomes new volunteers to help in a wide range of tasks. Volunteering is a great way to help the community while developing and learning new skills. It is an excellent way to make new friends and meet others from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. If you are interested in being involved, there are contact details below.

The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Councillor Dee Simson, visited BHCR recently at their studio in Brighthelm Community Centre, to be interviewed about her role as Mayor. She was interviewed by Jilliana Ranicar-Breese on the Friday at noon programme ‘Your voice matters.’ The Mayor also spoke to Susi Oddball, a studio manager and presenter at Brighton and Hove Community Radio.
