Brighton Pride Carnival Parade I

The day started dull and rainy for the Pride Carnival Parade, but nothing could dampen the spirits of the participants or the crowds who gathered to support them. The seafront and the city centre was an absolute riot of colour which the grey skies could not diminish. The atmosphere was seriously carnival and the floats and costumes were perhaps the best the city has seen for a long time.

Pride in Brighton & Hove promotes equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. It raises awareness of these issues by facilitating and promoting a series of events including Winter Pride and the annual free summer festival. It also fulfils its objectives by making grants and/or donations to other charitable and voluntary organisations. Their key objective is to develop an environment that promotes LGBT equality through creating and supporting events that celebrate LGBT lives.

  • Hi Tony that was me Daniel Blackwell as Wonder Woman. I remember making that costume. I wonder if you took more pics on that day? Was nice to see it again.
