Season's Greetings

The team here, namely myself, Lucy, Helen, Peter and Tony wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It has been a difficult year in that the upheaval of the introduction of a brand new website caused quite a few problems. In the last couple of months, progress has been hampered by my illness (I was hospitalised with pneumonia). But the team have worked to keep the site going, and I am so grateful for their support.

I am looking forward to 2020 when we will be working hard with ‘business as usual’.

I sincerely thank you all for your continuing support and hope to see you all soon.

All best wishes

  • Jennifer, as an occasional contributor and regular reader of the site can I just express my thanks to all of the team for keeping the site going. It is, I think, an invaluable resource for anyone with an interest in the city and its past. Long may it continue and be appreciated.

I wish you, your team and all who contribute to the site a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
