Neighbours are very friendly

I have grown up living in Reading Road. My neighbours are very friendly and everyone helps each other. When I was younger I played football and “44 Save All” with my friends, and we have had some great water and snowball fights.

Fantastic street parties

I learnt to ride my bike in the road. We have fantastic street parties, which are fun for the children as well as the adults. I love cats: they are so cute and cuddly. Luckily a lot of my neighbours have cats. There must be about 20 cats who live in our small cul de sac.

The budgie I saved

Five years ago I found a white budgie that had flown into my neighbour’s porch. A cat was about to pounce on it, but luckily I managed to catch it. We couldn’t find her owner, so I kept her and named her Snowy. Although she was in a poor condition when I rescued her she lived happily with me for three years.
