My great uncle was landlord here from about 1891 (census return) and directory until his death in the Inn on 31 July 1907. His name was James Gunner and he came from Worth in the 1850’s and was originally a blacksmith. Maybe this establishment should be included in th pub list on this site as it is one of the older one in Brighton.
