Does anyone remember an elocution teacher going by the name of Madam Moore? During the war, I attended lessons with her because as a child I lisped and had trouble with sibilant sounds.
I had to repeat a rhyme about silver swans swimming in order to keep the tip of my tongue behind my teeth. She also produced some amateur dramatics. I have much to thank her for that my speech impediment was cured.
