The letter contains a brief biography of her father and particularly his years as a Fireman from 1934-1946. Photograph of the training tower at Hove Street Fire Station, Hove, showing 6 firemen standing on top LIA/57/1/02On the back of this photograph WF has written that in 1935 an open day to celebrate George V's Silver Jubilee was organised, family and friends were invited and AC won first prize in the 'Hook Ladder Race'. Photograph of Albert Catten and Arthur Johnson in their Fireman's uniforms LIA/57/1/03Arthur Catten is on the left of the photograph. WF notes on the back that AC and his colleague AJ were known as 'The Long and the Short of it', and how she used to polish her father's gold coloured fireman's helmet that he's wearing in this photograph.
