Has anyone any memories of the veteren broadcaster Gilbert Harding.I lived near him as a child and have vague memories of seeing him walk along Upper North Street to the road that he lived on further up.My relative Len Prossor remembers that he was a regular patron of the bar in The Royal Albion Hotel when he was playing in the small orchestra there.Later his career was to be involved in some scandel and at the time veiled references were made in my family as what they were.At the time such matters would often be alluded to rather than spoken outright,that he was effeminate etc.Perhaps today he would have had a rather happier life.
