I have a census dated 1861 showing my Great Grandmother x 4 – Kitty Pierce [nee Harman] aged 72 was living with Ann Pilbeam [nee Emery] 44 and her 2 daughters Elizabeth 19 and Ann 16. Kitty was described as Ann’s Aunt. Ann was a widow, her husband John a mariner had died. I am trying to find out how Ann was related to Kitty. I had expected when I got the Birth Cert of Ann Junior that her mother’s nee name would be Harman but I was wrong. Does anyone know the answer please? Many Thanks Marianne 19/11/2009
