Ashburnham

by John Lewis 5 January 2017

I lived at Patcham in a very large yellow brick house called Ashburnham from about 1946-49. Its main entrance came off Old London Rd past a lodge and I imagine coaches pulled up by the front door before going off to the separate coach house and stables. I wonder if the buildings are still standing as Google maps and street view don’t show them clearly. Some 70 years later I live in Hamilton, NZ but memories linger and I may have some answers for your members. Residents then – Lewis, Hastings, Fitkin, Halham or Hallam
