There is or was a book about the North Laine area of Brighton, issued by Brighton Books Publishing, I think about two or three years ago. It was in the same series of titles as Hilly Laine to Hanover. I emailed the publishers or the distributors at the time asking to buy a copy of the book, but never received any answer. I would especially like a copy of this one, as my father lived in Foundry Street in the early part of the 20th century. Can anybody give me any information on this book please – the title would be a start! – and where I might obtain a copy? (I live in Scotland so I can’t actually trawl Brighton to find it…)
